  1. As a survivor of domestic violence, I think that violent people tend to use the excuse that they were provoked for their violent behaviors. They claim that the person they beat should not have provoked them, as a rationalization and justification for inflicting sometimes fatal injuries. Yes, I think that it is possible for someone to provoke us to anger. But, ultimately, how we respond is on us. Regina
