Is it possible to be too honest, or is honesty always the best policy?
In our current society where falsehood and hypocrisy are highly rewarded, it seems there is no room anymore for honesty. You pay greatly for being straight-forward and honest. People don’t want to hear the truth (even though they say they do) they want to hear what they want to hear and they expect you to say it. Everyone I know play a role and wear a mask. Not me. Ellen (DeGeneres) once said and I quote: Here are the values that I stand for: honesty, equality, kindness and compassion. Treating people the way you want to be treated and helping those in need. Golden rule and honesty. The best combo for me.
