first i thought boat, compass and sailing map would be better alternative but i guess the person has more chance surviving inland than out there in the water.

somehow I can’t see Tom hanks in serious roles but the film and the concept itself is like what you have said: heart tugging.

yes exactly, he has been in quite a mixture of roles, from one end of the pole to the other, but yup it really works on the psyche that one x
